Consent to receive SMS messages from Cherokee Water Company is collected during the lease renewal process. When completing your lease renewal, you will be presented with the following:
A field to enter your mobile phone number
A checkbox (unchecked by default) with the following language:
“By checking this box, I agree to receive SMS text messages from Cherokee Water Company regarding my lease, account information, and related notifications. I understand that message and data rates may apply and that I can opt out at any time by replying STOP.”
Consent is not required to complete a lease renewal or use our services.

All opt-out requests are honored immediately. Once removed, your number will not receive further SMS messages from Cherokee Water Company.
